The Taranaki Boxing Association yesterday received word by telegram that Pete Sarron. would not fight Tommy Donovan, as arranged, here on .ward! Ist. To-day the Association’s solicitors took steps in connection with the Association’s claim against Sarron for £9O damages for breach of contract, and.oil the ground that it was believed that Sarron was about to leave for Australia a. warrant was issued. He dismissed the incident as of no importance, a; though fighting circles here express much surprise.
