(By Telegraph—Press Association). LONDON, Feb. 20. A Dutch swimmer, Miss Braun, has made a world’s record for the women’s four hundred metres free style, her time being 346.3 seconds. COOK STRAIT SWIM POSTPONED , , WELLINGTON, Feb. 20. Owing to the unsettled weather conditions and to no prospect of an improvement, and the water being so cold a.s to make the chance of success unreasonable, R.. J. AVebster has definitely postponed his attempt to swim Cook Strait until next year, when he will make preparations earlier.
