Although due for release several years ago, .he was allowed to. stay on in the gaol because lie had no home or friends to go to if l; c walked out. His savings while, in gaol, augmented by a Government grant at the end of last year, enabled him to leave the prison, and he is now living in a small flat in Darlinghurst.
