OUTBREAK ON XALDERA

(Received this day at il a.m., PERTH, February 18. An ex-civil servant, a resident of Mluiuourne who returned last week on tlie steamer Naldera, from a holiday witli liis wife in India was found to be suffering from small-pox and was placed m quarantine. The Naldera left for Adelaide before the health authorities were aware of the patient’s condition.
No official announcement- was made, but the news leaked out. MELBOURNE, February 18.
An endeavour is now making to communicate with forty eight who had already left tlie Naldera when she berthed at Port Melbourne. All aboard the ship are being vaccinated and no intercourse is permitted with shore people. Passengers for Sydney will be allowed to continue the voyage.
