CENTRAL RIDING. Nominations closed at noon to-day for the vacant seat in the Westland County Council, caused by the death of the late E. A. Wells. The following were the nominations received : W. A. Jamieson, settler, Koiterangi, proposed by W. F. Jones and Noah Harris. Tlios P. O’Neil, settler, Kokatahi, proposed by J. Fleming and Frank Wall. Harry Wells, storekeeper, Woodstock, proposed by \(. F. Diedrichs and Peter Webster. Hie poll will take place on Wednesday week, 2(Jth. inst. throughout the Central Riding at the usual polling places. '• WESTLAND POWER BOARD. T. W. Duff was the only candidate nominated for the vacancy in the Westland Power Board, ami will cl declared duly elected.
