NELSON, Feb. 13

At a meeting of the Trustees of the Caw thro u Institute of Scientific Research, a letter of congratulation on the success of the pakihi investigation carried out by the Institute was read by the Director (Proessor Easterficld) from the Bui lor County Council. The letter stated that the Council at its last meeting, had resolved heartily to congratulate the Cawthron Institute and its staff, on the great success in experiments that had attended their efforts on pakihi soil between Sergeant’s Hill and Fairdown. The Council is particularly pleased with the results that have been demonstrated, and will grant every assistance within its means for the continuation of the good work.
