Fierce storms in the central tablelands caused much damage. Many places are dislocated, miles of telegraph and telephone lines being down. As much as Sin. of rain was recorded at some stations. The deluge was accompanied by bail at times and the streets of several small towns were soon awash, Harden and Murrumtburragh suffered particularly, Stock losses are feared to be heavy in some, districts. -
