NELSON, Feb. 13

I lie Turf Hotel at Stoke, a wooden building, was totally destroyed by fire at 1 o’clock this morning. The inmates escaped in night attire. ‘ A passsing motorist found the building well alight and roused the inmates. Tho Turf Hotel was owned by Air Frank O’Connor, of Napier, and leased hv Mr J. Corbett. The insurances on tno building were £1,500, .stock £2OO, and furniture £550, in the Mercantile and General Insurance Coy.
