MISSIONARIES CAPTURED
HELD BY BRIGANDS

SHANGHAI, Feb. 6
Three members of the China Inland Misses G( Cajander, E. E. Ingman, and A. A. Hedengren, till Finns, were captured by brigands in the Xiang province on February 3 while travelling by boat between Changshu and Iviang. Particulars are nob available but it is believed the ladies are being held for ransom. Miss Cajander has teen in China thirty-two years and the others over twenty.
Miss Cajander and Ingman suffered recently a similar experience when the city of Yunghsin was looted a few weeks ago. In order that they might escape capture, Chinese sympathisers hid them by building them into a hole in the wall.
