ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.

CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 5

The beef yarding was 475 head, including a. consignment from, the North Island. Competition was keen at late rates. Steers sold: Heavy £2l and £23 7s 6d, prime £l7 os to £l9 15s, medium £ls 10s to £l6 15s, light £ll 5s to £l3 10-. Heifers and cows.sold: Heavy £l4 os to £l7 7s (id, prime £l2 to £l3 10s, medium £9 to £ll 10s. inferior and light £5 10s to £8 10s.

I lie fat sheep yarding was large, and the quality fair. Prices eased pn last week. .ae best sold at 28s to 30s 4d, medium -fis t0,275,7d, light 20s to 24s lOd. Wethers sold: Extra to 34s lOd, prime 30s to 325, medium 25s ,6d to 295, light 22s 6d to 255. Eaves sold: Extra .to 28 s 7d, prime 24s to 275, medium 19s to 22s 6d, light 15s 6d to 18s 6d. The fat lambs were a medium yrrding, prices being, on a par with last week. The best sold 28s to 80s 4d, medium 25s to 27s 7d, light 20s to 24s lOd.

There was a mediujn offering of (pork and bacon. Pork was ifijrmer and bacon was easier. Porkers sold 40s to 58s, heavy £3 4s to £3 os 4d; average price 8d to Bkl per lb. Choppers sold £3 to £fi 10s 4d. Bacon sold £3 10s to £4 4s. heavy to £5 19s 6d; average 7d to 7kl. Stores wore firm at late rates-.
