It is reported from Surabaya that afire damaged the oil-tanker, Anatina. the engine and boiler rooms suffering particularly. The vessel left Fremantle on Jan. Bth. for Palikpapan.
SEARCH FOR OIL
CANBERRA, February 5
The Federal Government decided to discontinue prospecting for oil in Panua, owing to financial difficulties. The search, which was conducted by an Anglo-Russian company for the Comunomve ilth has cost about half a million sterling to date.
