THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES
YOUTH IS JOY TIME. . Education is generally defined as a preparation for life. Now boyhood, or girlhood is short and life is long. At the most boyhood or girlhood lasts fifteen to twenty years say from five to twenty years of age. It comes once, it does not return. Life in earnest then begins; indeed, often begins before girlhood or boyhood is over. Life lasts long, three times or four times the span of girlhood or boyhood. One of the best apprenticeships to a happy and useful and long life is a happy and long boyhood or girlhood. |
