... A special feature in to-night’s big display at, the Princess Theatre is a fine. fiipi 300Qft. in length depicting Ford’s wonderful motor Factory! This is a most interesting picture and should be seen by everyone interested in motor cars. The star picture tonight introduces John Gilbert, and Alina Rulbens .in “The Masks" of" the Peyij” a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer production. The picture is unlike anything ever before jprodued on the silver sheet; it violates all, rules of dramatic construction in its, daring audacity in telling the truth about human nature —and as a result it is one of the most gripping, haunting human documents an audience has ever seen. John Gib berfc, master craftsman in the art of depicting human emotions, and Victor Scabtrom, the Swedish genius who directed this dramatic cross-section of human Souls, 'both achieve distinctive triumphs. The audience sits spellbound, watching from the “inside” the very operation of the human mind and . heart. Eva von Berne, a new “find” brought by the studios from Vienna, plays the role of ..“Virginia,” Alriid Rubens as a dark-eyed charmer is the embodiment of temptation. Theodore Roberts does a magnificent piece of character work, and Ralph Forbes proves a, formidable rival as a lover. Special , selections by Mr Restieaux and his orchestra.
