The past week at Dacca has seen independence in action and a reign of terror. The schools, colleges and shops were shut and streets deserted, the people leaving the town. Tliejre have been many stabbing? and assaults. The trouble originated with a Hindu procession on Independence Day, which insisted in playing music near a Mosque.
