INDIAN EFFORT
AGAINST BRITISH EMPIRE. [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] ALLAHABAD, January 25. Pandit Jawaburial Nebru the President of the Indian National Congress states that a resolution which is printed in hundreds of languages and dialects is being distributed and vited upon, throughout India on Independence, Day namely on Sunday This resolution declares that the British Government has debased itself by its exploitation of the masses, and has ruined India economically, politically, culturally, and spiritually India must, therefore, sever the British connection. Civil disobedience, including the non-payment of taxes, is advocated, but tlie Indians, say the resolution must refrain from violence, even under provocation.
It is contended that this action will assure the end of “the human rule.”
