POLICE PROMOTION.
AUCKLAND, Jan. 28. Police Commissioner Mcllveney, visiting Auckland addressed over 200 members of the Auckland Force. “Who can give me a description of —. His wanted and particulars were published in the Police Gazette?” Dead silence followed until a young Constable stepped forward and read from his note book an official description of the wanted man.
