SCHOOL CONSOLIDATION.
(To the Editor.) Sit-In connection with the proposal to consolidate the schools of Humphreys and Arahura with the Hokitika School, and in order to allay any fears or misapprehensions in the minds of parents affected by the proposed change, I now have much pleasure in placing upon record the following facts:— 1— The cost of transit of the children to and from school is absolutely free.. 2 The conveyance to be used is guaranteed to be of suitable design. 3 The route and the stopping places are to he arranged in the discretion of me Working Committee. If any doubt still remains in the mind of any parent affected I am prepared to supply a written statement under the hand of the Secretary of the Canterbury Education Board in proof of the above statements.
