The songs of Robert Burns have been banned by the Catholic Episcopal authorities .in the famous Bavarian town of Ratisbon, as being immoral, and as being calculated to corrupt the innocence of impressionable children. This ban is the outcome of a performance of'Joseph Haydn’s composition, “Scottish and Welsh Folk,” together with a 1 lecture by Haydn on Burns.
