SALVATION ARMY
ANNUAL CONGRESS. It is announced from the National Headquarters of the Salvation Army that the Annual Territorial Congress for 1930 will be held in Wellington from March sth, to Wednesday, March 12th. , Commissioner Cunningham, the new-ly-appointed Territorial Leader for New Zealand, will conduct the Congress gatherings, and lie will be supported by Mrs Cunningham, Colonel and Mrs Taylor, and the Headquarters staff. Commissioner Wilson, from England will he present a.t the Congress as International Representative. The main event of the Congress will include a Home League Rally, a Public Welcome to the Delegates Two Hours’ at the Cross a Musical Festival, Holiness Assemblies, a Lecture by the Commissioner entitled “General Booth’s ‘ln Darkest England Scheme’ in relation to World Social Problems,” and a Young People’s and Social Demonstration. The Vivian St. Citadel of the Army and the Wellington Town Hall will Ik* the buildings used for the various gatherings.
