Tn the Commons, Mr MacDonald announced that the Government intended to appoint an Economic Advisory Committee of Civil Research. He hoped to secure the services of two whole-time economists. A White Paper will shortly be issued explaining the Council’s scope and factions. Mr Henderson in answer to questions on the result of the resumption of Anglo-Russian relations, said instructions had been issued permitting the endorsement of British passports for travel in Russia. Government’s export credit scheme was made applicable to exports to Russia on Ist. August, 1929. Mr Sliiels, in answer to question, said the undertaking in respect of prapoganda was framed after consultation with the Dominion’s Governments. An i liter jeetor asked : “Have the Dominions expressed dissatisfaction with the arrangement?” Air Sliiels: “They were not asked to express satisfaction or otherwise.
