Hon. T. Wilford who lias not fully recovered from his accident used a walking stick at the House of Lords ceremony.
The Dove of Peace, in ice, dripping somewhat, stood in front of Mr Wilford at the Royal 'Empire Society’s lunch at which Lord Bledisloe and Air Wilford were guests. Sir John Sandeman Allen presided. Lords Forster, Jellicoe, Passfield, Liverpool, Ivyslant and Alexander were present. Lord Bledisloe referred to Air Wilford as his big brother and said the New Zealand producer received sev-enty-five pe ( r cent of the amount paid by the consumer, whereas in Britain the /proportion was only thirty-five to forty. He predicted that New Zealand might supply grass clover seed which Britain now obtained from Scandinavia and Central Europe. Air AVilford expressed the opinion that if Lord Bledisloe took out an eighty pound cheese from his own factories, as he understood he proposed to do, New Zealand cheese fanciers would fail to worship him.
