INCESSANT SNOW

(Australian Press Association)

SYDNEY, Jan. 20

A wireless message from Sir Douglas Ma\Vson states that on January 10th incessant snow limited the range of vision since the rec-eht blizzard, and suspended all hut biological and hydro-graphic work. He continues: “The dredgings effected indicate that the continental shelf hereabouts is irregular, suggesting tlie- subsidence of a former land surface.

“With a rising temperature, ice chunks falling from the rigging, damaged the areoplane’s wing, which is now being repaired. The weather promises an improvement, and we have decided to stand south-east to invesigate- the new land discovered eastward of Keifipland, which we propose, to name Macrobertson Land, in honour of the man. to inborn our expedition owes sd much.”
