At Leichhardt Stadium to-night, in the welterweight championship, fifteen rounds, before a huge attendaii e, fonnv "ha'l (D.IH'.I hxmht a draw with Wally Hancock (10.4 V), the title-holder. It was a hard contest. Hancock doing most of the lending. He was in trouble in the fourth, while Fairlinll was floored in ‘lie seventh. Hancock was down twice for a count of nine in the eleventh and when he rose planted a fierce punch on Fairhall’s <\ve which was damaged. Fairhall showed fine gensddp, evading much punishment, hut Hancock took more than his share of body punches.
