AGAINST JAZZ NOISES

VENICE, Jan. 16
This once the city of silence broken only by tender serenades has risen in re.volt against gramophones and loud speakers. The police are taking action asrainst the nuisance. It is explained that the peculiar acountics of Venice amplify to such extent that jazz becomes deafening across the narrow canals.
