FUND TO SAVE PUBLIC

LONDON, January 16
It is officially announced that out of a fund of £1,000,000 that is required to save the public from loss in the Hatry debacle, the brokers directly concerned have contributed £800,00!) while banks and members of the Stock Exchange who are not directly interested are making good the deficiency estimated at £200,000 to date. The actual date for the final settlement has not yet been fixed.
