Maxwell, are discussing the Customs policy at Buluwayo, as a preliminary to Southern Rhodesia delegates coming to Capetown at the end of January to negotiate a new Customs convention. It is
regarded as definite that the ; Union, as well as Rhodesia, is anxious to arrive at a settlement.
CASE DROPPED. AGAINST JOHANNESBURG REPORTER. I CAPETOWN, Jan. 10. The Government has decided not to proceed further with the case- against the reporter, Lomv, at Johannesburg, who refused to give evidence in court relative to gaming proceedings which lie reported for his paper. ■ •
