NEW YORK, Jan. 11. A document given to the United States Senate Committee bv Mr Wit limn D. Shearer, the naval' propagandist, and described by him as a secret Riitish meorandum, was identified on Saturday before the Committee, by Dr A\ iliiam of New York, as a skit on British propaganda, written bv himself.
Ihe Committee members joined frequently in the laughter as the story of Mr Shearer’s document was unfolded, and when Dr Maloney’s account eoneluded, the Shearer investigation ended definitely.
