CHINESE SATISFIED. WITH RESULT OF ACTION. [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.] (Received this day at 11 a.m.) SHANGHAI, Jan. 6. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs at i\anking announces the effect of the extra-territorality mandate upon the Powers is generally encouraged and satisfactory to China. Discussions are proceeding between Dr Wu (China’s Minister at Washington) and the American State Department. Simultaneously discussions are proceeding between Sir Miles Lampson (British minister at Peking) and local officials. Nanking believes that with two major powers already agreeing to the principle of extralitv, abolition, with the other countries will follow. It is reported that Japan is ignoring the mandate until events necessitate action.
