ANTI-FASCIST PLOT?

MANY ARRESTS

(United Press Association—By Electric I'etegraph—Copyright).

(Received this day at 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 6

There are amazing revelations concerning the recently discovered antiFalseisiV’ phots .against Italian and Belgian Royalties and Cabinet Members, says the “Daily Mail” whose uenevn corespondent declares it is reliably established in League circles that nnti-Faseists were plotting against Mussolini’s regime and particularly against the Italian delegation at the League’s forthcoming meeting. It is alleged many offered a notorious Chicago gunman £4OO to do the job. The police yesterday raided the homes of anarchists and anti-Fascists m Geneva. Many Italians were taken to the police station and questioned inroughout the night. Correspondence seized showed that Uie plotters asked an Italian anarchist in New York to load a deadly kind of machine gun or pistol. The Italian police learned of the plot from a code letter addressed to a ■man in Italy, stating the outrage would be carried out at the League Secretariat. The police photographed the letter, after which it was allowed to reach the addressee, who was left at liberty until he gave a clue to the place where the bombs were being manufactured. The police are searching for the persons believed to be preparing bombs for the attack.

League delegates and several antiFascist extremists residing at Geneva recently disappeared, saying they were going to Paris. Others known to have been in communication with those asrested on Jan. 2nd. are now under Strict surveillance.
