The Plunket Shield, cricket match between Auckland and Canterbury was continued at Eden Park to-day, when some very fine cricket was witnessed. On the first day of play Canterlmrv sr-mwl 104 for the loss of two wickets before rain caused a postponment. No play resulted on the second day, on account of heavy rain, but to-day was beautifully fine, the wicket was in first-class order, and dll in favour of the batsmen. It i a long time since such fine batting has been displayed by' a visiting team iis that given by the Canterbury eleven, and its efforts were greatly appreciated by the spectators.
