Modern Eve hopes to add adventuring laurels in the New Year by means of new world records and endurance tests on land sea, and tiir. Two motorists, Mrs \ ietor Bruce and Lady Brocklehurst are starting out on hazardous journeys. Mrs Bruce starting from Sunvald one of the most northerly points in Lalnd intends to drivein nine-four hours of Monte Carlo at Cannes. Her purple and silver ear will be the star of vee badge of the Women’s Automobile Association.
Lady Brocklehurst, accompanied by her husband, will set out from Algiers in a motor lorry to travel six thousand miles across the desert to Khartum. Lastly, three women motorists, a woman and speed boat owner are training to compete in a motor, aeroplane and speed boat test. It seems as though a strenuous endeavour is being made to prove that women are capable of invading every domain of man.
