FAREWELL AT AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph—Per press Association.) AUCKLAND, January 3. The Governor-General and Lady Alice Ferguss'on are making their farewell visit to Auckland. Thqy attended the last two ways of the Auckland Racing Club’s, meeting, being fa re welled on the last day, and to-day they visited several institutions, while the Governor-General to-dav said goodbye to the veterans. This afternoon Her Excellency was farewelled bv thewomen of Auckland. Three presents •tions were made, one being frept Maori women, and there were speeches of farewell expressing deep appreciation of services rendered by Her Exj cellency to the causes of womankind! The citizens’ farewell will take plac® in the Town Hall to-morrow night, and their Excellencies will leave for 'Wellington on Sunday night.
