AIR MISHAP
FIRST OF NEW SERVICE. (Australian Press Association) (Received this day at 8 a.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 1. Inaugurating an air service from Brisbane to Sydney to-day, a National Airways monoplane piloted by Ulm, with seven passengers and mails had a forced landing after crossing into New South Wales. They landed in a ploughed paddock, and the undercarriage of the new giant Fokker was severely damaged. Nobody was in jured.
