Chairman of the Committee that is drawing up an Act for the American government of East- C ern Samoa, stated: “I doubt whether definite information concerning Western Samoa can be obtained in an authoritative manner at Honolulu. It is not the habit of the British to withdraw from insular territory. I do not look for them to do. so.
