WEDDING BELLS

STARKEY —MITCHEI.I.

A pretty wedding was solemnised last evening at St. Thomas’ Churcii, Runanga, Rev. W. Bell being the officiating minister, the parties being Mr William George Walker Starkey and Miss Mary Jane Mitchell, both of Runanga. The church was tastefully decorated, and was crowded. Miss Nina Goodwin presided at the organ and played the Wedding March as the bridal party left the church. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pretty frock of white crepe de chine, trimmed with radium lace and a lace veil surmounted by a coronet of orange blossoms. Sho was attended by Miss P. Flalliday who wore a frock of pink crepe de chine. Mr J. Pendlebury acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, where the usual wedding toasts were honoured and the bride and bridegroom were the recipients of the good wishes of those present.

BIDDINGTON—R 0 WSE. The wedding took place at St. Paul’s Church, Greymonth yesterday morning of Annie, eldest daughter of Miami Mrs .T. Rowse, Runangn, and John Albert, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. Biddington, Camerons. The bride who was given away by her father, looked charming in a frock of ivory crepe de chine, with veil and coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquest of regale lilies, sweet pens and maidenhair fern. Miss Dolly Rowse acted as bridesmaid, and sin* wore a dainty frock of apricot crepe de rhino, and carried a bouquet of primrose and lielio sweet pens. Mr A. B. Griffiths was best man. A reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. Airs Rowse receiving her emests in a frock of cinnamon celanese Mi-s Biddington, mother of flu* bridegroom, won* navy crepe de chine.
