BOXING

CARNERA’S WIN.

[United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.]

LONDON, Dec. 17

Camera, who weighed half a pound over twenty stone, fought Diener, the German, who was six stone less, at the Albert Hall. Matt Wells refereed. -

The first four rounds were almost without incident. In the first round, Diener remained on the defensive, easily avoiding Camera’s leads. In the second round, Camera landed an uppercut, while Diener scored three times, but none of the punches did any harm.

In the third round, Camera kept cool. He two hard punches in the stomach unflinchingly. The fourth round saw Diener looking tired. He slipped to his knees. Camera offered Diener his hand gallantly. Camera continued to display a lack of boxing ability, and Diener scored twice to the ribs and once to the head.

The referee warned Camera to keep his glove shut in the lifth round, when Diener continued to be the cleverer, but then Camera scored with a tremendous left hook to the jaw and a right swing to the head. Diener heroically got himself clear. In the sixth round Diener took a terrific right on the jaw, and he nearly dropped. Camera then rained punches on Diener until the referee intervened, and declared Camera the winner.
