A ROUGH NIGHT
ANOTHER SHARP QUAKE. Last night was a very boisterous one. A heavy northerly gale set in' early and as the night, wore on gained in violence, there being a heavy blow, accompanied by many heavy showers, and occassionally bail. During the night there, were several heavy thunderstorms,. which continued at intervals this morning. The rain increased in volume after daylight and at times was a veritable deluge. To make matters more unpleasant at 4.ls'o’clock there was another very distinct earthquake. It was of a peculiar jerky character, though' not aS severe as that of the previous morning, and hardly lasted as long.
