PLANE CRASHES
PILOT AND GIRL HURT. (Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, December 8. An Air Force pilot, Rex Walker aged 25 years, was doing the last of a series of “joy” flights yesterday, when his aeroplane' crashed from a height of four hundred feet, near the Mascot Aerodrome. Walker suffered cc-nimssion, and severe abrasions. He had a passenger. Miss Irene De Luca, aged 28 years. She has a fractured skull and is in a critical condition. (Received this day at. 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 9. The \ ictim of yesterdays plane crash was Mrs Birnie, not M.iss De Luca, died without regaining consciousness, Pilot Walker’s condition is serious.
