Inquiries in the highest medical sources indicate a need for caution, in '•adopting 'tho;Use .of kerosene for .cancer. It has .a-certain value in piedicine in it her .treatment, of some ulcej'atjve conditions'-of .the . bowels,, hut. the type of lease for.,which .such treatment is suitable, land the method of application,! -both -require mature medical judgment.
In the cancer literature, of . recent years, there are no references to the. value of kerosene .and allied substances in treatment. The .eagerne.ss of the medical profession. to ~discover, and apply a useful therapeutic agent 'for the cure, or even tile relief, of patients suffering from.cancer is shown by tiie army of workers in cancer institutes and laboratories in the leading countries of the world. Never before in. the history of medicine, has so much scientific energy, - and- study ~been directed towards the cancer problem.
