BOXING TOURNEY
A SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. The Hokitika Amateur Boxing Association held a very successful tournament in the Princess Theatre last evening when there was a good audience present. The referees were Messrs A. Mohan, F. O’Neill, and Costello, of Greymouih. The various officials were all attentive to their duties and the .proceedings passed off smoothly. A couple of the hoots wore very even, but in others there was a marked superiority among the contestants. The final of the featherweight did not last the first round, the winner inflicting heavy punishment and flooring his opponent several times before the referee closed the bout hv awarding a win on a technical knock-out.
