WELLINGTON, Nov. 27.
A notification of the Government’s recognition of aviation authorities, for the purposes of the Local; Authorities Empowering (Encouragement of Aviation) Act, will; be ' published in to-morrow’s Gazette. . As the Minister of Defence’ (Hon T, M. ’lYilfbrd) pointed out to a deputation on day, local authorities will' then be empowered to spend, money on the encouragement:’ of, aviatip,n, if the aerodrome it is -propdsed ’to assist is not in the local authority’s particular area. The following clubs will be gazetted as recognised aviation authorities.— Auckland, New Plymouth, Hawera, Wanganui. Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa (Masterton), Wellington, Marlborough (Blenheim), Christchurch, Mid Canterbury (Ashburton), Dunedin and Otago.- . . '
