CHRISTCHURCH, November .27.

At. to-day’s; live,:stock sale ,at Addington, prices for - fat lines were ;to some, extent better than at the previ-,-o.us sale. ~ - -.■>i •

Rest heavy steers sold to £2l 17s 6d, prime Cl'7 to £lB ss, medium £ls to £L6 15s, lignt £ll 10s to £l3 10s. Best heifers sold up to £ls 17s 6d, prime £ll 15s to £l3 ss, medium £9 5s to .£lO ss, plain £7 10s to £8 15s ; extra prime cows to £l6 17s 6d, prime £lO 10s to £ll 15s, medium £8 to £9 15s, plain £6 5s to £7 10s; others from £5 10s.

There was a small yarding of fat sheep. Jt was sufficient for requirements; however. ’ xThe market opened .at late rates;-and hardened atea later stage slightly, bpost heavy shorn ewes sold to 38s Id, prime 29s 6<l- to 325. medium 26s- to 28s 6d, -light 225-6(f to 24s fUI: Best sliorn ewes sold to 31s Id, prime 23s 6d to 265, medium 19s to 225, light from 17s. There was-- a yarding of fat lambs selling at late rates. The quality was better than usual.

There-was a small yarding df store 1 , sheep, principally of nondescript lots. The market was irregular, with a dragging tendency. There was a medium yarding of fat pigs, and an improved sale for pork. Bacon was on a par with late sales, from -50 sto £5. Medium bacon sold from £3 12s 6d to £4, heavy £4 5s to £4 15s 6d, extra heavy £5 6s 6d. The average was 6-J-d to 7£d per Tb. Porkers sold from 45s to 545, heavy 56s to £3 8s 6d; average 7-Jd to 8-)-d. There was! a large entry of store pigs. The market was easier.
