Everyone on board,, tlie luxurious liner had desired to see Sydney harbour at its best, but it was a murky morning, with sunshine only at intervals, while there were rain showers during the afternoon. The tourists were greeted in the heartiest manner, the ferry sirens and steamer whistles blowing. There was a huge crowd at the wharf, and'. scores of limousines took the visitors rpund the city to the sights of interest, and. then to Government House, where the Governor, Sir D. de Chair, shook .hands with nearly three hundred guests, under a magnificent Aloreton Bay fig tree, which all greatly admired.

Leaders of Australian commerce and industry had luncheon on board the Alalolo with the captains of great American industries, who proved to he quiet-voiced men, who have built up fortunes in commercial activites, ranging from steel, newspapers and railways, to lemons, laundries, fish, oil, milk, electric signs, cafes and departmental stores.

All of these people said they had brought a message of goodwill to the Australian and New Zealand civic authorities and other public bodies, who have arranged a big round of entertainment and sight-seeing for the .Halolo’s happy, affluent complement.
