BERLIN, Nov. 21
The interesting question of/whether a tenant has the right to keefp family ghosts is at present before a Berlin Civil Court. The ghost of the uncle of an eleven-year-old girl, Luzie Greulski, is causing so much trouble in her father’s flat, situated in a big teneent building, that the neighbours have complained to the landlord, who is seeking an order for the. ■ family’s eviction.
The uncle’s appearances are heralded by-loud noises, and by scratchings and knot-kings on the walls and doors, while tables and chairs jump about the room.
The landlord claims that the noisy ghost has prejudiced ' the market volume of his tenements, and he declares that the whole ghostly business is a fraud. Failing this, he advances the alternative plea that tenants who are accompanied by family ghosts should state the,fact before, signing a lease.
The case is arousing considerable newspaper interest, while the Geiman Phvchological Society is also investigating- ■
