In answer to a question in Parliament yesterday, the Chancellor, of the Exchequer, Mr Philip Snowden-,, gave detailed information regarding the estimated expenditure involved under the legislative measures passed, since Hie Government took office, or, in Uniriediato • .contemplation. In. the aggregate these commitments involve an additional expenditure to ,the amount of £8,250,000 in the current financial year, and of nearly £19,000,000 next year.
