LONDON, .November 21
The loudest laughter heard Ifor many days in the House of Commons convulsed members this afternoon on a ballot for private mem hers’ motions. Air Baldwin’s Socialist son, Air Oliver Baldwin, was one of the successful balloters, and he stood up and solemnly announced: “I give notice of a motion on the distribution of wealth.” Air Oliver Baldwin was at the extreme corner of the back bench, among the Socialist left-wingers'. HeHminediately sat down, without a smile. Tlie whole House roared with laughter,-., arid all eyes were concentrated on his father, who was leaning back, ip the seat of the Leader of the Opposition, with his ifeet stretched out against the table on the floor of the House, directly opposite Air Ramsay AlacDonald, who, with Air Stanley Baldwin, joined in the uproarious laughter. , Mr. Oliver Baldwin alone took the thing'seriously.
