CYCLONIC STORMS

Cyclonic storms, accompanied by heavy hail caused considerable damage to parts of southern Queensland. Buildings were unroofed and fences levelled and telephone services disrupted. A building in Brisbane was '.4l:nick by lighting and the coping was cracked in three places. In the ton of Red Hill a large hotel was wrecked and the Presbyterian Church was levelled to the ground.
