PRETORIA. November 19
The Union Minister, Air Prerou, in a speech on the subject of the Durban police raids on the natives, revealed that a widespread plot had been instigated by the Third International, which, he said, was calculated to strike a serious blow at the industrial life of the Union. The Third International had sent written instructions to a number of native labour organisations to “wage a. struggle against the Government’s Native Bill and against all the other forms of oppression. not through petitions, but through revolutionary methods. On December Hsth, militant demonstrations were to be penetrated by all possible means.” Therefore. Air Perou claimed, there was justification for the Government’s action at Durban, which was the chief centre of unrest. He added that the Union Government would, at the earlist date, legislate to deal with agitators who were at the root of the trouble.
