An enthusiastic reception was given Viscount and Viscountess Craigavon at Elierslie racecourse by a great gathering of Auckland residents who are of. .Ulster stock, more-,,, than 500 being- pipseq.t. The title deeds of thirty acres of land in Avondale Borough were handed by Mrs W. H- Smith to Lord Craigavon, who then placed' them' in possession of the. Mayor.. Mrs Smith said she desired the land to lie used as a park to be knowfi/ as Craigavon Park.
