GISBORNE, November 19. • The Supreme Court opened this morning, .fustice Ostler presiding. The Grand Jury returned no hill in connection with charges of theit against George Laurence Evans and Andrew Wilford Stewart Murray. Accused wore discharged.

BIGAMY CHARGE. CHRISTCHURCH, November 19. At the Supreme Court, James Wiwi Norton, a quarter-caste Maori, was acquitted on a charge of having committed bigamy, on the ground that there was no proof he knew his wile was living when he went through a form of marriage on the second occasion. Justice Adams directed the jury to return a verdict of not guilty.
